Federation Boccia
On Thursday 9th November 2023 we held a Boccia competition at Beacon Primary school between 6 Federation schools (Beacon, Barcroft. Lindens, St James, Catelfort JMI and Moorcroft Wood)
What is Boccia and how is it played?
From a seated position, players propel balls to land as close as possible to a white marker ball, known as the Jack.
Boccia is a precision ball sport.
Boccia is a Paralympic sport introduce in 1984.
The children loved exploring this new sport and working in a team.
Beacon won the Boccia competition, so congratulations.
